a. Contributing Your Views and Opinions
When contributing my opinions I make sure to use a professional tone maintaining my points to be clear and concise. I also ensure that my views and opinions are supported by evidence and not speculations. I give room for questions and criticism from otheSr team members. Finally, I probe my teammates to contribute ideas on how to make my ideas better and I ensure to consider them.
Improvement Chance: I could appreciate input from more composed or quiet peers. This would entail contacting them before meetings to learn about their experiences and feedback.
b. Clarifying Problems or Issues
Whenever I assign a task to my subordinates but note that not all deliverables are met as expected, I approach them courteously either in person or via mail. I express my concerns about the gaps in the task and go ahead to restate my expectations. I ensure to use terms search as “Sorry if I was unclear. What I meant was…” and give room for the other party to mention anything that they failed to understand or if they are experiencing any huddles in performing their task where I offer alternatives on how we can solve these challenges.
Improvement Opportunity: Encourage employees to ask for clarification before submitting their assignments.
c. Working Effectively as Part of a Team
As a team leader I ensure each member has all the necessary resources to perform their roles as expected. Suppose a member falls short I support them in meeting the requirements by offering my skills or guidance. I also encourage team collaboration so that we ensure no member slacks thus dragging the project. I ensure constant communication from each member so that if anyone is unavailable others can easily take over their responsibilities.
Improvement Chance: Encouraging better conflict management methods such as accommodating and collaborating.
